Self Portrait VS Selfie

Image
A selfie is a photograph that is taken by one's self typically with a smartphone. A self portrait is a portrait taken of an artist and is created by the same artist as well. While a selfie is taken with one's own hand and is usually on a smartphone, a self portrait is usually used with a more professional camera and is taken with a timer or camera activator button. A self portrait is also planned, while a selfie can be taken at any given moment with the click of a button.     I prefer the style of the selfie because it is more convenient and easier to take. While I can always pull out my phone and snap a quick selfie, taking a self portrait involves planing, a timer and many time a professional camera. Not to mention, taking selfies on designated apps with selfie- filters (example: snapchat) can create very cute pictures at the tap of. button with filters and editing already completed within the filter.     While I prefer selfies over self-portraits, I think that self por

Phobia Project

A. A phobia is an extreme, consistent and irrational fear of a certain thing. B.  Anuptaphobia- Fear of staying single.     Atychiphobia- Fear of failure.     Cancerophobia or Carcinophobia- Fear of cancer.     Geliophobia- Fear of laughter.     Ichthyophobia- Fear of fish. C. I would like to use the fear of failure, fear of balloons and the fear of laughter! This would be a horizontal picture so I could have many successful people in the photo. I will use my friends as the figures. They can dress up in costumes as different successful people! I am going to have a balanced photo because my subject will be down the middle with the same amount of people on both sides of them. In the background, I want to include a big blue sky that implies they sky is the limit and that anyone who puts their mind to something may fall down but that the

Recap of 2018

Top 3 Favorite Photos: This is one of my favorite photos of the year because it shows the huge step the Royal family took when they allowed a bi-racial American actress to wed their Prince Harry. Although Harry will never become the King of England, this really shows how their Kingdom has Gaven the slightest acceptance of people with different races. Not to mention, Meghan had so much courage and went through so much in order to marry Harry. This is another one of my favorite photos because of how much emotion the speaker has exerted into his speech. He is turned by the death, brutality, violence and hatred. He is moved by the fact that everyone is not treated the same and e is willing to risk himself and make himself vulnerable to advocate for what he believes. This is one of my favorite pictures of the year as well because Aretha Franklin, one of the most legendary musicians of all time, passed away. Aretha had the voice of an angel and this picture at her funeral portrays tha
