The Eden Project's plants come from many diverse areas and environments from all over the world. 7. I picked this building because of the clear dome structure that was designed with a pattern on it. The dome-like structure is peaceful and soothing, and reminds me of a bubble!  I also like the beautiful plants and the creativity and purpose of the building. I also like the lighting, design and decorations. -Turning Torso, Sweden 1. The architect who built The Turning Torso is Santiago Calatrava. 2. The Tu

Sensory Overload

1. I think this statement is very true and meaningful because people buy so many objects that shape  their environment- internally, externally and stereotypically. I agree with this statement because people purchase so many things from websites, stores and others to impact their own environments. For example, if you are trying to make a positive environment or darkening one, you can buy different items to display the mood you want to show. As an aspiring photographer, this makes me feel eager to go around the world and study different environments so I can take affective pictures in them. There is so much diversity in this world to be captured, and I would like to capture some of it before it is gone! Sports Warm Up!

When a team wins a game, it is traditional for the coach to get dumped with a liquid like water or Gatorade to celebrate victory. The shutter-speed is slow. It captures some light and no stop-motion. If a higher shutter speed was used it would have been able to capture the water and keep it still in the photo. This is a key moment. It is the moment of victory. This photographer could have lined the right settings up on the camera and had it ready for this moment so the photo could capture the water instead of a blur. The advanced techniques in this photo are balance and rule of thirds. The photo is balanced with players on one side and the coach with the water jug on the other. This photo is also in rule of thirds because the subject, the coach who is getting dumped on, is in the rule of thirds grid perfectly. Although the shutter speed is incorrectly set, the photographer used good judgement of time to capture the water hitting the coach perfectly.
