A Day in the Life of Sadie the Photographer!

Image
When I woke up, this adorable pup named Ginger licked me! Next, I played with the other pup who came after, Jax! Next, I went to Brown Santa and Wrapped gifts. Next, I used my sunglasses to take a 'mirror selfie'. Next, I wrote poems about my favorite people in my notebook. Then, I played guitar and sang my favorite songs. Then, I went to the Varsity basketball game! Then, I got home and lit my favorite candle. Then, I helped my parents make the cranberries for Thanksgiving. Lastly, I lit the fire and watched a movie and fell asleep!

3.  https://www.lightstalking.com/autumn-photographs/ This website displayed some advanced concepts of photography while taking absolutely stunning photos of Autumn. Some of these concepts are compression, color placement, rhythm and texture. I learned that there are many more elements to photography than the seven rules. I am really excited to use some of these great ideas now in my own photography! I chose this as my favorite photo because it displays the beauty, depth, color and identity of the tree. I love how the sunlight is shining through the tree.  This pic is beautiful. I see balance, simplicity, and leading lines. I see leading lines because the tree branches are leading to the sunlight and beautiful leaves. I see balance because the tree trunk balances the other branches on the other side of the photo. I see simplicity because the photo is just a tree with the sunlight. All of the tree is vibrant orange with a complementing green background. The photograph...

2.  http://www.rachelsussman.com/oltw/ This website shows photography of the oldest living things in the world. The photographer contacted biologists to locate some of the world's oldest treasures to capture them in photos! I learned that you must work to capture the beautiful life of earth before it is gone. (global warming issues) My favorite photo is below. 1. I picked this photo because there is so much depth of the tree and it shows how precious and unique it is. 2. I see balance in this photo because the big tree evens out with the dark forest on the right side of the photo. 3. Rachel Sussman took these photos.

4.  https://petapixel.com/2015/01/01/projector-brought-forest-turns-nature-glowing-wonderland/ On this website, I looked at how to take photography in a forest using a projector. The projector shined electrifying colors onto the nature which created magnificent photos. I learned that in order to take creative and diverse photos you must think outside the box to come up with good ideas for original photos. I picked this photo because it highlighted the spider's work of art. The web represents the spider's diligence to create and finish it's web. The highlighting of the spider's web shows the importance of the web to the spider. In this photo, I see rule of thirds because the spider is right on the rule of thirds line. Tarek Mawad was the photographer and animator Friedrich van Schoor animated the photos with the projector.

1.  https://petapixel.com/2014/12/31/10-photography-resolutions-new-year/ On this website, I found ten good tips to apply for a fresh start in my photography career. For example, instead of shooting projects you can't relate to passionately, shoot photography that is personal to you and you will be more passionate about your photos. I also learned that changing the way you take photos isn't always bad. Also, that trying new things is okay and so is messing up. The number one thing to be 100% sure of is your confidence and courage to try new things to improve! My favorite photo: a. I love this photo because the puppy is so cute! This photo captured the puppy's emotions and reactions of snow. I love this because it incorporates the puppy in a natural stance! b. In this photo, I see simplicity because the background is a snowy white and makes the puppy stand out. I also think this is simplistic because the puppy is looking at the snowflakes and is the only subject in t...

Magazines Part 2

Image Based Magazine Covers: Image Based magazine covers usually have one to three people in the photo, all smiling and looking at the camera. Although that is the normal way to shoot an image based photo, some photographers use a different approach and shoot the person uniquely. For example, maybe the subject(s) are looking away from the camera or at each other. Maybe the subject(s) are frowning or smirking instead of smiling. These variations of an image based cover often hook many viewers as well because they are unique and diverse: what many people like also! Illustration Based Covers: Illustration based covers are used to present something unique, different or amusing. This type of magazine cover is usually used by independently published magazine brands that aren't correlated to other popular newsstand paper and magazine brands. These are usually very well thought out and they create a very meaningful drawing for readers to examine and think about. Illustrat...
