Nut Graf

The Nut Graf is a paragraph that explains the essential aspects of a story. The Nut Graf will explain any additional and important components without giving every little detail of information the story offers. It is significant because it explains to the readers why the story is generally so important.

The name "Nut Graf" is significant because just like a nut contains the kernel(most yummy and valid part of a nut), the paragraph contains the most valuable information of the story. While that is really creative, "Graf" just stands for paragraph. Lastly, the Nut Graf paragraph will sum up the article's purpose in a "nutshell"! 

 The Nut Graph follows the opening paragraph, gives the theme and underlying idea of the story, gives the 5Ws not in the lead paragraph and is easy to read.

Critiquing Another Photographer's Academic Shoot

The boy has a slight smile on his face and the background includes good contrasting colors. 2. I like how in Laura's photo with the rule of lines the ceiling's lines lead to the girl working on her assignment. The lines on the locker also lead to the subject's paper! Improvements: 1. I think in her avoiding merger picture she could avoid having a merger by capturing the photo at a different angle. Instead of straight on, the camera could be looking down or up at the boy working on a paper.
